Joe Louis vs. Mohammed Ali?
Suppose that that bout had taken place between those two, Joe Louis in his prime and Mohammed Ali in his prime:
Who would have won?
I know some real old timers who insist that Joe Louis would have won.They agree with what was said when apparently Mohammed Ali and Joe Louis were face to face somewhere, and Ali said,"Joe, if I was fighting back in your time, do you think you could've whooped me?"
And Joe Louis replied,"Remember how back then they all said I was fighting "The Bum of The Month Club?"
Ali said,"Yeah."
And Joe Louis said,"Well, you would've been one of the bums."
What do you think?
If somebody ever invents a real time machine, and that bout could be arranged, how do you think it would end and why?

Its Muhammad Ali, and no Ali was so much bigger than Joe Louis and 5x the jab, Ali would have beaten Louis badly for 13 rounds and then finally knocked him out in the 14th, and this is a mma forum i advice you to check out boxingforum.com

Joe Louis would win. During Louis's era there was no standing eight count and you had to make a quick recovery while the other guy was coming to pound on you again. You had to be tougher to fight during Louis's era. Ali wouldn't have been a pretty man during Louis's time. Ali has the speed, I'll give him that... but it wouldn't have been enough.

plus I am from Louisville so I got to go with the home town fighter.

few of you may know that i am a boxing fan and actually started in boxing as a kid.
anyways, joe would not have beaten ali. and here is why: ali was faster especially with his footwork, ali was a master at adapting his gameplan while louis tended to be a robot and I think ali had a better chin.
mike tyson vs ali? i'd take tyson all day.
