I wonder if he makes the shield, because all these movies are set in the same universe now. Of course, they couldn't set that up until later or else the order of the movies would be way off.

Marvel or whoever make these comic films said that they were thinking of other marvel comics to make into films and Captain America was one of the comic heroes they were thinking of making.

Marvel Studios has greenlighted Iron Man 2, Captain America, Thor and an eventual Avengers team up movie, which was alluded to at the end of Iron Man. Tony Stark will be [spoiler--> showing up in The Incredible Hulk, next month<--spoiler]. However, none of that proves that Captain America's shield is in Iron Man (it may well be, though).

Its possible that its the sheild but I would have to see the movie to get a better look to make up my mind.
Loads of superhero movies reference possible other heroes and villians for future movies so definitely a possibility.
