Wait, you don't have to pay for gym membership, your own food, you are out of school living at home and pay no rent and you envy people who are spoon fed everything?
Right........

Take the bus, if you don't like that, get a Trades job, they pay good money.
I drive 15 km a day and work 15 hours and I'm not even getting paid bud.

Southpaw, I'm curious as why you are only working part time if your not in school? Is that a personal choice or are there not any jobs available that offer full time employment?

Buy a scooter. Even financing it, you'll probably come out money ahead each month from not paying for gas. Or even an older 200cc or 250cc motorcycle.
Yes, it's wussy. But it'll save you money.
Years ago, I sold my Blazer and bought a brand-new Saturn. Even with the payments and isurance costs, I saved enough in gas that my expenses only went up by about $100 per month... and that was when gas was under $2.

You are only working 15 hours a week and are out of high school? Maybe a solution would be work more?

I understand your anger, but I work 1 full time job (lawn care/land scaping), a part time job (Cabaret/gaming Center), and also put in about 10 hours a week at a Water business delivering salt.
When college starts back up, those jobs obviously go to part time, but if you really want a job that is 30 minutes away, work full time. You can't work at a place part time that is 30 minutes away. Gas is ridiculous, but you are gonna have to find a closer place unless you start working full time.
And you think we have it bad, its between $10-$12 a gallon in parts of Europe. Start consilidating the places you go to.
EDIT: But I do understand you when you see these kids whose parents pay EVERYTHING for them.

When I think of a warrior, I think of the Marines I've led in combat, those Marines that sacrificed so much...no showers, little food, no contact with their family, all for their love for their brother Marine and for their love for their country. That's a warrior, willing to lay his life on the line. I've had Marines that have laid their lives on the line for the man next to him, and for their family and country. That's a warrior. The guy who goes into some athletic contest who has no war experience, in my eyes, really has no right to call himself that. That's a coveted thing to call someone, and that's what I call my Marines. Those are warriors." - Brian Stann

Gas is killing me too, it's at about $4.25 here in NY. I drive about a 1/2 hour to and from work, plus I have to drive around Long Island and NYC to meet with my clients, so I am on the road half the week.
If you want to make good money without any college education, get into sales, you can make unlimited money if you have it in you. Otherwise a union job is you're best bet, great benefits, job security, you get paid extra for anything over 40 hours and you will learn a trade that you can take with you anywhere.
Check out this website, you can apply to be an outside electrical worker, basicly building and maintaining telephone poles and power cables. It's hard physical labor, so you will definetly keep in shape, pay is good, training is good and best of all they have locals all over the North East. They are headquartered in Douglassville PA. They also have programs where you can travel around North America if work is needed in a specific area.

There is a link to get an application on the website.

I'm pretty set on doing MMA as a career. Which is why I'm working a Part Time Job on an average 20-26 hours per week. I'm getting health benefits as a part timer so thats a good thing because since I can't afford college I'm no longer eligible for health insurance.
I try to work as much as I can without having to sacrifice other things like my training.
The point of this thread was to vent mostly about the outrageous gas prices which is the biggest impact on my spending and where most of my income goes.
Also like I said the weather is making me ******* miserable. It's like I'm in constant PMS all the time.
Maybe I came off like a douche in this thread. Sorry about that.

As all of you probably know Gas Prices are still going up. Around where I live within the past month gas has gone up almost 50 cents. It's now around 4.08/gallon. It's ******* ridiculous.
When over half of my paycheck is spent on Gas to fill up my Car. And almost all of that gas is used to get back and forth to ******* work!
Meaning on average I make around $150 per week. At least $80 of that is spent on Gas within that one week period. Driving to the Gym to Lift, Driving to MMA Classes, and Driving to Work. I'm spending so much money on gas I can barely make my car payments let alone treat myself to something I want like for example a Movie or clothes or a Video Game.
After all the necessities like paying to own my car and paying for gas to use it I usually have around $30 at the end of all that to spend on myself. Not to mention I have to cancel my cell phone because my bills are over lapping because I can't pay them on time.
Now my dad wants me to pay for my YMCA Membership because I'm the only one who uses it, that's another $50 per month out of my pocket.
I'm probably going to have to go Full Time and possibly get another job and then I won't have time to do anything I want.
I envy people who are spoon fed everything. Kids that don't have to pay for gas or a car or pretty much anything that they want. Billion Dollar Oil Tycoons are sitting cozy in their mansions driving high end automobiles and I'm barely breaking even here.
Not to mention this Hot, Humid 100 degree weather is driving me ******* insane and I'm so ******* tired I can't even get a good lift in at the gym. I'm losing my appetite and all the weight worked so hard to put on.
Life Sucks right now, and it sucks hard

I commute every day myself about 50 miles to work. I myself have an F150 so you can imagaing the shit my truck guzzles. And I'm from California, the gas prices out here are unbelievable.
I got a buddy that I work with who gives me a ride. I kick him 20 every week to get me to and from. With my truck it would cost about 100 so it is what it is.
I'm at this point going to drop about 2,000$ for a small dependable ugly reliable old bucket to get me back and fourth from work. Maybe an old Honda or an old Toyota. I'm keeping my truck, but this is basically what everyone does where I work since we all live in the same town and commute to the Energy Plant where we work.
Carpool or buy and old beater to get to and from. That is basically what I'm reduced to.
