Exactly. USA doesn't because we never really needed one and we are such a huge country, it will take a bit to develope a great, continental Public Trans System.

That's a warrior, willing to lay his life on the line. I've had Marines that have laid their lives on the line for the man next to him, and for their family and country. That's a warrior. i also feel the pain of NY gas prices and my trailblazer guzzles somewhat. (you really need 4WD up here though come wintertime and u should see all the ppl who drive around in range rovers and land rovers taking a safari in moron land). TBQH i'd work more hours and fit the training in wherever I could. I hope your Y's hours are less lame than mine. or use this job as a resume builder, work there as long as u think u would need to for them to give u a good reference, then attempt to find something closer and save your $ and GO TO SCHOOL. I can't stress this enough. not everybody has to go to college but it will open many more doors for you ESPECIALLY if where you live has a shitty job market. Also you may eventually want a serious g/f and unfortunately they cost. I like to think I was a low maintenance g/f for my now husband, but I prolly cost him a lot lmao.

I'm feeling the squeeze of gas prices, 13 MPG with gas at $3.90. My mom gives me 20 bucks a week, everything else I pay, which sucks.

I feel your pain man. Gas here is 4.25 a gallon. My car needs a new heater core which costs like a couple hundred to fix and my car is only worth like 500 so right now instead of fixing it i'm driving my moms car when I have to go to work and stuff. I only get paid $8 an hour and have to pay for school and gas and stuff. I also work for my grandpas landscaping company but this summer I have to work for him for free since he gave me like 3 grand for school this year. It really sucks right now.
If I were you I would either work full time or find a job closer to you. If you work full time you'll still have plenty of time to hang out with friends and stuff. If you don't want to do that I would look into something like constuction or landscaping. It's hard work but it pays well. With either of them you'll be learning a trade and if you wanted later on in life you could always start you're own company with the info you learned from that job and make a ton of money.

Americans pay the least for petrol/gas in the world. In Australia we are paying about $1.60 a litre and Americans pay about $1.15 per litre. No doubt it sucks that fuel prices are going up but compared to the rest of the world you Yanks are getting a good deal.

Yes, here in Spain diesel is 1.15 euros/litre, 1.15$ doesn't sound so bad I think.

This thread is retarded. 'Gas' is half the price in America than it is in the UK. Oil Tycoons with loads of money? Actually, gas prices have gone up because they're running out of oil and countries like Russia, Brazil and China are the only ones with tons of oil. You're sick of people who are spoon fed everything yet up until now you didn't have to pay for gym membership and don't even have to work full time. You barley have enough money to buy new clothes and necesities like video games and dvds? Boo hoo.
I can't understand how people like you can complain about their financial situation when they live at home and have everything on a plate for them, even if they think they don't. You will have a rude awakening in the real world, my friend.
And most importantly, if gas is too much for you to cope with on part-time wages, don't have a job that's 30 miles away! Driving 30 miles for a part-time job paying just over minimum wage is mental.

Bit of a chip on the shoulder? Well if you can't understand it coming from him understand this.
Let up on the kid. I too live at home..........with my wife and 3 kids. You are using your key board to try and give what a wake up call? Or are you just trying to be rude?
And why is this thread "retarded" like you say? Because were talking about gas? Gas is expensive right now, more so we're probably looking at coming close to some kind of all time record. If the thread was so retarded than why did you post in it? Are you retarded like the rest of us? Have you found a home on the retard thread? Well than welcome my friend.
Stop snapping at this guy, when you're young you are naive to alot of the hardships that happen in life. The kind of insight that you're demanding only comes with experience. But I'm not sure if you'll even understand that, looking at the character that you displayed in your post.

I try to work as much as I can without having to sacrifice other things like my training.
The point of this thread was to vent mostly about the outrageous gas prices which is the biggest impact on my spending and where most of my income goes.
Also like I said the weather is making me ******* miserable. It's like I'm in constant PMS all the time.
Maybe I came off like a douche in this thread. Sorry about that.

Yeah, I fill up every 2.5 days at 80 bucks a pop, it's terrible. I'm seriously thinking about buying a Chevette to save money.

Actually, prices are up because of the speculators.
Oh, also, this map might help you a bit, not too sure though.
