The Race Thread
Before I get all out flamed for this hear me out.
I enjoy discussing MMA hence why I signed up I do not particulary enjoy discussing race. There are MMA fighters of every creed and colour. If I do not like a fighter its because I do not appreciate his style, Andy Wang being a case in point or because I do not like their smack talk or behaviour, such as Melvin Guillard.
Now I hate it when I get all ready to discuss MMA and oh no the thread is full of "you dont like cos him he is black" this is followed "Im a Anderson Silva nuthugger" which is followed by "Brazillians dont count as black"
It does the forum no favours I believe I transcend racism but still enjoy seeing two athletes beat the shit out of one another, but I'm complicated.
So for those that want to discuss race here is your thread lets keep the fighting talk about fighting.

Race dont bother me. Im white and most of my favorite fighters are a dfferent race.

I don't get it, are you expecting people to be honest about their biases toward certain races? And only in this thread?

Well one can hope, I'm just annoyed that many Rashad threads turn inevitably to race, because he is not a popular fighter.
This does not seem to happen as much with Rampage and Anderson as they are very popular on this forum. Also recently a why are there not as many black fighters thread and a while back black folk cant swim thread (that was not the title but that is what the thread descended too). |

No reason to even start a thread to contain these posts. They are inevitable, most of us regulars know who the guilty parties are, and the best and brightest on the forum should ignore them altogether.
