Sounds good, thought I'd read them before watching the the show.

Just finished the Dark Tower 10 or so months ago. Took me three years. Mainly because I really didnt get into the first book. I waited almost three years before I started reading the second. Once I started it I couldn't quit till I finished.

I envy you for what you have in store for you coming up in that series.
I finished off the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson and really liked it a lot. Some series fizzle out or the ending is sub-par this ending was fantastic. Also Life is Yours to Win by Augie Garrido(the Texas Longhorn baseball coach) and if I was still a head coach I would great stuff to use after reading it.
I'm currently reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire since I went to see the play in New York last month. It's good but COMPLETELY different and much much darker than the play. Good stuff so far.

Looking for a cheap copy of A Dance with Dragons. The first 4 installments were only 17 bucks and I won't pay 21 for the latest book. Hopefully the paperback comes out soon.

Did anyone here ever read Darkly Dreaming Dexter? Always wondered if I should read it after loving the tv series, or if I'm just a complete fool for never having read it lol

Dexter has a book? It's crazy how TV shows/games/movies come out with books and stuff after or even before, it's like a whole world to get into more than just the TV.

Just started on The Once And Future King by T.H. White. I'm working nights this week so hopefully I can get a good bit of reading done.

Is it? Well, that's why I said "after or before it comes out", as in books going to movies or vise versa.
It's pretty cool, though, I like it when lore and stuff goes beyond a single source.

Yeah there's a few Dexter books. Never read them though. May do, but the series is quite different apparently.
Still reading 'The Adamantine Palace'. It's a short book, but I've not had much time to read lately. Near the end, and whilst I like the story and where it's going, the chapters are *so* short, and the pacing so fast, it feels like half a book. Like a cliff notes version :/
