ah, didn't notice that. but the good news is, producers are usually involved with the financial aspect of the film, not the writing, or direction. they do things like gather funding and shop the script around to studios, sometimes give input on who they'd like to see cast. but its always possible he got his nose into the creative aspects, sometimes producers are involved there.

it is a little unnerving to see bay's name attached to the project in any way- glad to see he is just one name among seven producers in total. cause that dude is awful.

Like the op predicted, I'll have to be the one to say a remake of this isn't really necessary. Minus the intro, all of the good scenes appeared to be from the older films.
