Stop Feeling Sorry For Your Self!!!
Recently I ran across a post that I found rather disturbing. this poster who will remain anonymous talked about struggles and that others dont know what real struggle is and feels he is entitled to things because of past struggles. I tell you this is bull shit.
I dont know if you have notice but my sig has changed. it is a part of a quote from my favorite movie The Hustler. The full quote is as follows.
Quote:
Bert Gordon: Eddie, is it alright if I get personal?
Fast Eddie: Whaddaya been so far?
Bert Gordon: Eddie, you're a born loser.
Fast Eddie: What's that supposed to mean?
Bert Gordon: First time in ten years I ever saw Minnesota Fats hooked... really hooked. But you let him off.
Fast Eddie: I told you I got drunk.
Bert Gordon: Sure you got drunk. You have the best excuse in the world for losing; no trouble losing when you got a good excuse. Winning... that can be heavy on your back, too, like a monkey. You'll drop that load too when you got an excuse. All you gotta do is learn to feel sorry for yourself. One of the best indoor sports, feeling sorry for yourself. A sport enjoyed by all, especially the born losers.

Everyone struggles some more than others but any idiot can sit there and give up and start feeling sorry for themselves. We remember those who over come their obstacles not those stop and complain and start to feel sorry for themselves and expect others to give them what they feel they are entitled to. Those who are mentally strong will be the ones who prevail. those who have the will to succeed will succeed. Believe me I know. Don't be a born looser.

OP, you had the brain cancer at a young age eh? All I can say is...bravo and your post makes me feel better about any situation I could possibly be in.
We just got word today that my ma's best friend's melanoma spread to his liver.
I have to put shit into perspective, in the grand scheme of things, not much that you go through will really destory you unless you, unless you let it.
Either way, <3 you.

I know some people off the top of my head that are like this. People who just give up when shit gets rough. You notice alot of this shit on Shitbook. People whom are starved for attention and fail at being motivated when someone tries to give them a pep talk.
If there are a million problems on top their head, instand of trying to sort them out, one by one they just quit...like cowards.
The biggest cowards in this category are the ones that commit suicide over things that can be changed. Its a form of attention mostly but I am sick of that shit.
One is allowed to vent their problems but it needs to stop at a simple rant for ventalation.
take a deep breath, give your head a shake, stand back, look at your entire life as a whole and understand that there are a ton of more people that have it worse than you.

Nothing wrong with people who do that. I see people like that all the time, and if they didn't my stock in this world wouldn't be nearly as high. What you have to realize is that these people are crippling themselves. They will live a pitiful existence, they will never achieve anything and that includes happiness. But because of these wastes of flesh I can operate at a strong 40% and be awesome, not just in the work place but in the things I achieve on my own time.

If everyone grew together and became strong for one another to avoid things like this, the world might be a better place.
Each little bit of weakness like this that is shown is making it seem to others that it is tolerable and acceptable so they give in a follow in those circles, hoping someone out there will "understand".
Enter the emo tread if you don't believe me.

I did that once. Woke up hung over in jail with herpes, and found out there was going to be a "tomorrow" for the next 3 to 5 with a huge ball busting skin head named bubba.
(jk live it up today for tomorrow we die)

it is true
I remember when I was going through chemo-therapy I had to go to the hospital for a day and a half for once or twice a moth an have a needle stuck in my chest so they could pump basically poison in to me. The treatment kills the cancer but it also kills the body the hope is to kill the cancer before the body gives in and they gauge how many treatments you get and how often you get it by how your body responds.
There were time where I started to feel sorry for my self and complain "why do I have to do this I hate it" then one day when I was leaving I saw a sign on the door next to me. "Happy 100th day." Made me feel like a real ass.
