I have a question for all the Americans. I get equally amazed every time there is gun-talk on the board, coming from a country where all types of firearms are banned more or less.

I mean I can see the function of having a pistol for self-defence or whatever. And a standard rifle for hunting.
But you guys mean to say it's actually legal to own an assault-rifle like say an AK47 over there? what in the world would be the legal use of that? I mean I'm not judging I'm just very curious because it seems insane to me does the same go for sub-machineguns like ingrams and uzis and such?

Also are you allowed to cary these outside or just keep them in your home?.....so many questions lol have you guys ever shot anyone? man this got me so curious.

If I lived over in the states I would be rockin some of my favourite guns from AVA (online gaming)lol I wouldn't use them just collect them for fun I guess, depending on how expensive they are.

EDIT: That's a lie, Ive just remembered a farmer buddy of mine gave me a go of one of his rifles a year or 2 ago.

I've held a real gun before, but I've never shot with one. I do think the process of hunting could be interesting/fun though. I was actually thinking of taking these shooting courses I have near me. Not sure what it's called in english, but it's the thing where you shoot those flying discs.

I think I have shot twice from a hunting gun, it was pretty fun. I just shot to sky though, coz I think my accuracy sucks tremendously

It's called skeet. Skeet shooting.

The sale of assault style weapons is pretty controversial even in America. fully automatic is still illegal. They are semi-automatic only (one shot each time you pull the trigger)


can't remember what I paid for my ruger 9mm but they are very inexpensive for the quality. a very good reliable gun.

I own multiple guns. They are all for hunting or self defense or both. I don't have any "cool" guns like AK's or anything like that. I know people that do but I see no use in having one......until the Zombies come... And the top of the line shotgun will run $1500 But a average one will be about 500-800. Hunting rifles are slightly different in price but not by much

Was that a hunting rifle you fired up into the air? You should be very careful with that, those rounds flies a looong way and can kill people from thousands of yards.

That ain't no shit. Sort of scary what people do with firearms when they don't understand what they're capable of. Saw a story about an amish girl that was killed from miles away when a black powder hunter had a misfire into the air. Crazy stuff.
