Contemplating a new Motherboard...CPU...RAM...SSD...Monitor...

I can't afford it. But I want it. I may get greedy and regret.

Pretty much

My GPU is solid and fairly new, it handles latest gen games easily on 'ultra' settings so I'm fine for now.

I don't *need* a new monitor, but found a 24inch Benq (i love their monitors) for stupidly cheap. With 3d, HDMI and all that shizz as well.

The other stuff, is for, well, my CPU struggled with Guild Wars 2 dynamic events when there's 100+ people trying to defeat a giant doom boss, and even Diablo 3 lagged a bit for me. My CPU is ancient, an old AMD dual core. For sure switching to Intel.

I am building from scratch. Other than keyboard, mouse and monitor I need everything from the case and power supple to the mobo and ram.

And intel is the way to go.

Think I'm going to get an i5 2500. Great company in the UK sells bundles, so it comes overclocked from 3.30GHz to 4.4GHz, with a Corsair A50 CPU cooler, a Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 and 8GB Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile ram.

All that is £355, which is pretty awesome. The SSD will cost another 100ish, as I want a 120GB one. For Windows 7, PS, Lightroom and a couple games with some spare space.
