Just heard that Dwight Howard will be a Laker next season. Wow! Nash, Kobe, Howard and Gasol? Can you say championship ring?

Crazy lineup. I remember when they acquired Malone and Payton back in 2003 (crazy how time flies) but didn't do much. Too bad Malone never got his ring.

True that. Nash is a great deal though. The Lakers lack a 'pass first' kind of guard and Nash is still averaging 10+ assists per game. Kobe will be shooting his usual 25+ per game and Gasol and Howard are both great scorers and monster rebounders. Kobe is probably going to cut into Howard's points per game but maybe it won't be that much. After all Nash likes the pick and roll with the big guys. In theory, nothing can go wrong.

I remember that fondly as well. Was so great to see that money team get their asses handed to them by a team of nobodies from Detroit.
