It's great, man. Out there in the sun, wildlife running around, saw a bird swoop a fish up about 10 feet from me, seen otters swimming around and one was eating like 20 feet from where I was fishing, bears come out on the land there from time to time as well and you can spot them hanging out by the river then they head back into the forest area.
I can spend so many hours out there fishing and relaxing.

Hahah...yah man. It's a complete skill game. The balls have to shoot in exactly at the right angles and not touch the edges otherwise it ricochets and you start all over again. Fun stuff!

Can you believe I've never fished before. Although I'd like to try it. Seems pretty relaxing. Not sure about deep sea cuz I get sea sick, but catching those marlins look fun.

.....Dude.
That needs to be on your list of things to do before you make a bucket list.
Ocean fishing is fun, but it takes effort and gear/money.
Fishing like M.C. is doing is one of the simplest, purest pleasures in life. Very relaxing.
It's hard to have a bad day fishing.

This is true, although it's always more fun when you are catching than not.
They say use a Texas Rig on a soft plastic worm for the ultimate bass bait, but I did this my last two trips out and caught a total of like 5 fish over the 2 days. I put on a simple orange Spinnerbait today and came out with 13 catches within 4-5 hours.
What kind of bait did you use when you used to fish? It's so hard to get live bait around here except nightcrawlers.

I always take 2 rods. One for live jumbo shiners (let them do all the work while I enjoy the view). And one for "plugging" if I feel like working at it.
I have good luck in deep water with plastic worms on a weedless hook with a bullet sinker that can slide about a foot before it hits a little crimped lead makes a little click. That texas rig doesn't look like it would stay weedless long.
but i prefer top water plugs. My #1 favorite is a devilhorse.
something about that little guy just pisses a bass off.

I believe I have a couple of those, I might use them next time.
I want to get a few frog and crawfish jigs but they don't sell them around here, I need to buy them online sometime. 4 stores here sell fishing equipment, not a single one has those jigs, all but those two.

when you try your devilhorse make sure the propeller blades spin good. get him as close to the weeds/stump/whatever as you can and let him just sit there for a minute. Then just a little twitch now and then. They usually come up out of the water when they strike him. Just keep in mind it is probably the most NOT weedless plug you can use. You have to be accurate.

Will do so. Baitcaster makes aiming near perfect, so no problems there.
On a side note, Denny's had literally 3 cars/tables full earlier today, so I was like SCORE, yet had to wait 10 minutes for anyone to take my order, that blew my mind. Normally with a full house it's like 1-2 minutes, but with only 3 customers it takes 10 minutes.

I hate fish.
No, really. I'd love to go fishing, the whole thing appeals to me, but I hate fish.
