Actually Simple Man is my default answer when I'm asked about my favourite ever song. It's just amazing. But the Free Bird solo is so free flowing and relentless, I've heard it hundreds of times and it still wows me everytime.
Talking about solos, favourite ever guitar solos people?

Lynrd Skynrd really should just name every song of theirs that isn't free bird, not free bird. Because let's be honest that's the only reason you're there to see them in concert. Just let them introduce everything "and this is another song that's not free bird"

I find this post to be just as insulting as the racist Asian comment. Both are filled with ignorance.

Casual Skynyrd fans would go to hear Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama probably, sure. But Skynyrd is a quality band with many more great songs: Simple Man, That Smell, Tuesdays Gone, Call Me The Breeze, The Ballad of Curtis Loew, All I Can Do Is Write About It +++

See I knew Oldie would have my back on this one. Skynyrd is probably right up a longhaired countryboys alley.
