I have two budgies that live in a flight cage together (I plan to add two more males), then an IRN that has her own big cage. I spent $137 on their toys, especially for my IRN as she is getting bored and when she gets bored, she is loud.

They are adorable. I also have an IRN (Indian Ringneck), she's a lutino mutation, they are known for their long and beautiful tails and interesting ring around their neck, although since she's female the ring is really light and hard to see. They are very difficult birds to manage, though, and I'd only recommend someone who is experienced with birds to own one.

All of mine are fully tame and love to play, fly around the house (only my budgies can), and really friendly. My IRN can say multiple words/phrases and spends most of her out of cage time running around my desk beating up toys or sleeping on my chest/shoulders. Adorable creatures.

Birds require a lot of toys, in fact to keep a bird mentally healthy/stimulated you should have at least 2-3 groups of toys that you switch out every few months as they get bored after a while.

They like anything that is shiny, makes noise, anything they can tear into little pieces (shredding toys), they like foraging toys where you hide treats in them and they have to use their brain to work and figure out how to get it out, like opening drawers to reach the treats. They like foot toys that they can grab in their claws bite on or drag around.

Here's a pic showing some bird toys at a pet shop, this is only a small portion of what is available online and at stores, and a video of a pair of birds wrestling and playing over a foot toy (I can talk about birds all day, I should probably stop before filling this thread up with bird posts).

I just watched a A&E documentary on a girl who was kidnapped in the 70's and brainwashed. She was tortured and raped for 7 years. The kidnapper made her stay in a coffin size box underneath his water bed for upwards of 23 hours a day. At one period she spent almost 3 years straight in this box. What the hell is wrong with people?

Amen, to that. I just spent the last several hours going through memory lane with old class mates. What a TRIP!!!

Most are fat, balding (including girls), married, have kids...one dude is a park ranger of all things...lolz...one girl who was quiet is actually pretty hot now (what in the world), these slutty girls who were hot back then are nasty now, I mean what is going on...damn. I think I'm experiencing Peter Pan syndrome.
