I train judo, not BJJ. The belt tests require adequate technique not competitive results.

I know you train judo. You have to show technique in BJJ as well but, if you couldn't do it under pressure at full speed out of the gym the most you could hope for was a blue belt not much more unless you were around a really long time. That's purely speaking about the group I was brought up with so I would imagine there are different ways of doing things.

No problem. I just thought you didn't realize I was in judo, since my case isn't unusual. In judo, belt tests focus on technique performance. Competition isn't required at all. I'm not sure about the black belt though, before you couldn't get it without competition, now I believe you can.

As I said, it's a standard procedure in judo. If you were in Serbia you would be welcome to come to the dojo and test your assumption.

That's a great analysis, doc. Why did he murder a cops daughter and fiancee? Perfectly "sane" thing for an angry person to do. Just because you agree with it, doesn't make it any less batshit crazy.

It means you actually earn the right to hold a loaded gun and command people what to do, and the respect and intelligence to do it, unlike the system that is in place today.

I was going to reply until I saw the bold. You have an absurdly false perspective of law enforcement that is obviously not going to change no matter what is said or what you see. It's a shame, but there will unfortunately always be many people who hold these opinions. So be it.

That's a rather ignorant statement my friend. I know several incredibly skilled grapples who have never competed and I would favor most of them over a lot of people.
