Because he bites a snake in half and eats it alive, he shows people how to hunt for snakes? Because he takes a stick, throws it, and kills a scared rabbit as it runs for its life, then he skins it and cooks it like anyone else in the world would, he is teaching the world how to hunt and cook rabbit? How much sense does it take to know to hit a rabbit in the head in order to kill it?
He kills these animals in brutal ways and eats them in more disgusting ways for ratings and ratings only. He's not teaching the world anything by doing this, not a single, tiny little thing.
If he wants to go around showing people how to survive in the wild, then that's okay, in fact it's entertaining, but why kill a bunch of animals that he doesn't even need to kill, simply cause it gives higher ratings?
It's sadistic and pathetic.

Thats not true at all!
He shows you how to survive under the most bizare situations you can find yourself into. With only your bare hands and a little knife.
And one huge part of surviving is wich animals can you actually find and eat and how can you cook them the right way.
I for one did not know, that you could fish after Piranha's in Ecuador. I also didn't know, how to kill one of the most dangerous snakes in the world.
I also didn't know, that you can make yourself quarter by cave a camel and use his skin as a blanket to survive.
But anyway, the show is not about that at all. It's just such a little part of an phenomenal TV Show.
He shows you how it really is and how it still is on so many third world countrys around the world. We are just fortunate enough to be born on such development countrys that we think it's barbaric. It's just how it really is!
Humans eat animals.. bigger animals eat smaller animals.. bigger fishes eat smaller fishes. It's how this entire world was built and how it still works today! If you don't like that and you continue about arguing about hunting you have to become a vegetarian.. but if you enjoy your meat, just like I do you have no right to feel bad.
Also Bear Grylls doesn't really kill those animals in a brutal way at all. He always kills them immediatly or as fast as possible.
He just shows us, how you have too do it with such limited options. With only your bare hands a little knife! It's the only way to do it and I for one need to see it first, so that I can educate myself.
It's a show with so much education around it. I never learned that much from a simple TV show before.
I think Bear deserves all the Respect in the World and he should get medals for it. He did not became Chief Scout because he kills animals.
You just like too overlook all these amazing things he does!
