I've been called sexist for arguing your same point. What gets me is when I see girls punching their boyfriend, and then when they slap the chick back the girl and everyone else goes nuts about how they hit a girl.
I'm ALL for opening the door for a girl and all of that fun stuff, but there does come a point when you just can't hit someone else and not expect some form of retaliation.

EDIT: Xeb, I've been in the exact situation. When people attack my family/gf it's ******* on. I really don't mind getting punched and I will most likely just walk away unless they sucker punch me, because then I just need to beat some ass on principle.
