Is insurance required in Seattle? In Virginia, if you're caught driving without insurance, they impound your car, fine the hell out of you, and suspend your license for 90 days, automatically.

Damn, good to hear you are ok. I got in a bad accident 9 days ago as well, and my car is pretty ****ed. It's being fixed in the shop though, thankfully.

Wow man I am glad you are okay. Hydroplaning sucks when you don't expect it. Luckily I was on an open road when noone was around last time I lost control.
I hope you guys have a speedy recover.

It's a life changing thing man, when I was 16, I rolled my dad's car with him in it. From 16-20, I was terrified of being a passenger in a car, and I would get tense to the point of cramping up everytime someone would go around a left turn.
Good to hear you are okay man, seriously.
But the question needs to be asked: after the adrenaline rush of a lifetime; being in a major accident, did you and your girl happen to have a passionate embrace before bedtime????? Was it better than normal????? Just wondering,
If it's too soon or something, I'm sorry.

Unfortunately, it happened at least an hour by freeway from either of our places. She's going to sign it over to the tow yard for scrap simply because it's so expensive to tow it anywhere to store even temporarily, in fact she is there right now, I asked her to take some pics with it so I'll post them if she does. It's pretty brutal!

Yep, it is. We got lucky, the cops decided not to take us to jail or impound the car (probably because it was just more work for them) but it is a $350 fine which we are going to split. We both knew the risks.

Never too soon, my friend! But no comment.

Well, tell her she's a tough lady and we all send her mad props and all our happy thoughts.
(And thank her for putting up with your sorry ass).

I can't say that I agree with it, 'cause you could've seriously injured someone else, and they would've been on their own. However, it's good that no one was injured.
You are extremely lucky. I'd take it as a learning experience.
