I would say 1 out of every 20 people I meet actually know what UFC and MMA stand for and what the differences are, which isn't that hard to understand.
What gets me though is that when I go to the local bars to watch events, the people there watching them couldn't even tell you what they are. I was calling around to see what bars were going to play this last Strikeforce, and I actually had to say "UFC style fighting" on a couple occasions to dumb down my lingo...
