Ok so i caught my first episode of Spartacus tonight....this show is Fn sick!!!!!!
Any thoughts???

Agreed, I really dig the Frank Miller feel to it which should have been expected with Sam Raimi involved. Also Lucy Lawless, aka Xena, was a nice surprise. I hope they didn't tease us with the first episode because I fully expect to see copius amounts of skin with all the slave girls.

(edit) ok I just watched it, I have good and bad things to say about the show.

1.) The nudity aspect, some premium channel shows do it right and work it in great, this one on the other hand failed miserably IMO. They threw Nudity and sex scenes in just to have teh novilty of a naked chick on their show, although this might appeal to some teenager that is going through puberty it falls short on the more mature viewers.

For Example, for those that watched it, their whole town just got destroyed. everyone they knew just died minutes before and they decide then, hey lets ****, I mean seriously now at least work it into the plot a bit.

yes this complaint is coming from a huge perve that is obsessed with porn, but thats just it, if i wanted to watch mindless sex i would watch porn

2.) some of the acting was atrocious, it seams they just put a few people on because the look good in the outfits.

good things

1.) some of the acting was surprisingly decent for a tv show.

2.) The fight scenes and the way they do the blood was great (even though i think the novelty will wear off on the special effects aspect on it and it will get monotonous)

Lucy Lawless is on the show and even though my first thing was against nudity the aspect that we might be able to see her naked on the show will keep me tuned in, for all those that are going eww.. all i have to say is bite me, I used to watch the hercules and xena shows and I want to see lucy Naked damn it (even though I would prefer the girl that played gabriel on xena but oh well ill take what I can get)

HAHA it happens Stokes but they are showing it on a pretty constant loop lol. Ive seen the first episode like 3 times now.

Awesome show. The best part is that my wife watched a chunk of it, and her only comment was "the sex scenes were good." Haha, I laughed pretty hard.
