Sad but true. One of teachers I had in high school told me a story once of how his big brother was getting bullied by some kids in the neighborhood my teach being five back then one day just grabbed a 2x4 and walked over to the kid and smacked him across the face with it which koed him and walked off. Said his brother never got picked on agin.

Once humiliated they stop as u said.

I was bullied until I was around 8-9 years old, pretty crappy feeling but you learn a lot about the nature of the people.

When I moved to Belgium the first 2 weeks I got bullied at school because of my name, plus my accent.

I dealt with it pretty easy, got in a fight and earned ''respect'' for the rest of my school career.

I also tend to feel bad for people who got bullied and stood up for them every chance I got.

This is sad but people are differnet I guess. I would never kill myself and give the bully any kind of satisfaction whatsoever. In middle school, I got into plenty of fights with bullies. Then in high school people were still at it so I started boxing and then got into MMA. Funny how people change their outlooks when they find out they are outmatched.

The real point is that I started boxing to have an outlet for the aggression. People need to find an outlet for stuff like this besides suicide. I look back then now and wonder why I got into that many fights over it in the first place. I always remember that the people who are really important know who I am. Screw the rest.

two of these deaths don't seem to be because the kid was bullied. One of these families had two kids shoot themselves and the third die of a drug overdose, it sounds like they had major issues in the family.

i dont exactly understand suicide either. highschool is really a brief flicker in a person's life. once its over things change so much.

Not always an option, I was quite small for my age when I was bullied and my futile attempts to fight back are what they seemed to find amusing. That only really works if your that awkward big kid.

You need to understand the place they are at in there mind. It not that your thinking your giving them satisfaction its that you think its going to teach him a lesson, in some strange phsyco way you think that in taking your own life you are going to somehow change things for all those other kids going through those same things.

I'm glad my group of friends never bullied anyone. If I were in the shoes of someone being bullied, I don't think I could stop myself from doing something drastic to stop it. Columbine is a bit extreme, but you can't get away in life walking over people. It doesn't end in highschool either, so you gotta learn to stand up for yourself eventually. These kids probably didn't want to hurt another person so they took it out on themselves.
