No financial crisis here. the economy is a booming. We ride the wave when Oil is high and ride the wave when Natural gas is high its only the odd times when both drop that we end up in any kind of recescion. Even in shitty times people still want to drive there cars and heat there houses.

Well I can only speak of vancouver. But its a nice place, people are good natured and the temperature is pretty mild. I don't think its ever snowed while I was there. Alcohol is very expensive in vancouver. I think I paid 20 bucks for a 12-pack you could get for 8-10$ in the states. Lot of coffee places, and the last time I was up there some smoke-free thing was enacted and the smoke shops were required to have this 100,000$ filtration system or something. Its like everyone is happy or something up there. Great place I'd definitely recommend visiting or living there
