What gloves to buy for sparring.

Hey there.

I'm interested in MMA mostly as a means of full-contact sparring with friends, which leads me to this question:

What kind of gloves should I buy for the most versatility (and reliability) in sparring with people? I'm currently looking at these hybrid gloves, which seem to be the cheapest option I've found thus far, and the most ideal.

Still, I don't have any experience with fighting gloves other than boxing - I assumed hybrid gloves would be a good means of practicing both grappling and striking without cutting my buddy's face open, but I'd like to hear from some people who actually have experience and know what they're talking about before I drop money on anything.

you've already made the right decision with the hybrid gloves. don't neccessarily go for the cheapest though. you want to make sure you get quality gloves so you don't get loose threads and you end up hurting your sparring partner's eyes. if you're just starting out, i suggest head gear and shin guards to go with the gloves. especially if you're not training in an actual gym. BE CAREFUL
