How To Become a UFC Fighter?
Hi there, I am sorry if this is the wrong section. I just would like to know what it takes to become a UFC fighter.
Where do I begin? Thank you for your time.
My experience: Sport Muay Thai.

If you're confident in your stand-up, start learning some sort of ground skills (wrestling, BJJ, judo), without a ground game you won't go far.
When you're confident, head to an MMA gym, they can make sure you're ready, and point you towards some amateur fights. If you do well in those, you could get picked up by a small pro fight league. If you're REALLY lucky / talented, you stand a small chance of getting scouted by the UFC.
It's really not something anyone can tell you how to do, thousands of fighters are considered and turned down just for TUF, let alone an actual UFC contract.

Thanks a lot for the reply, really appreciate it. Yes I need ground work, I would love to practice BJJ, Wrestling etc. I have met some guys who told me that they practice MMA, what do they mean? That they go to a gym which teaches a variety of martial arts? Or plain free style fighting? |

Not sure if this is a troll job or a serious question, but i will bite.
First you have to find a gym that you can train all aspects of MMA. Striking, BJJ, wrestling etc.
Honestly there is probobly an extremely high percentage of fighters out there who train and fight and will never make it to the UFC.

No, not a troll, forgive me if I ask directly in an awkward manner. Now you said to find a gym which teaches all aspects of MMA, so you are saying I should look for an MMA gym to begin with? Does that mean I should quit my MT class? (if the MMA gym includes MT as well) |

They are probably training out of MMA gyms, the style of teaching has changed since the early days, fighters have to be well-rounded in all aspects of fighting.

I reckon 500 hours + on Undisputed 3 and you should be good to go... |

Well, f you can squeeze in time for MT and also train at another gym then you could do both. Also if you can afford it.
I would google gyms that teach BJJ/MMA in your area. You may even find a gym that teaches MT.
I used to live in San Diego where MMA gyms are plentyfull. Now I live back home in a small town in PA and have a full time job and a family and have no time to train anymore.
I do have friends who wrsetled at Edinboro University in the town I live in where Koschek wrestled and they train MMA up a little ways north in Erie PA.
