any Western Mass MMA'ers here?
 

Hey I'm new to th eforums, and looking to join an MMA gym or class of some sort, but I can't seem to find one in Western MAssachusetts. Anyone here belong to a good one?

I train in bjj in agawam, its a very solid place there's also team link in ludlow where i know a couple people who have said very good things. Also the fighting arts academy in springfield. There is also tkd places scattered in quite a few places, i'm not sure how far your willing to drive but get back to me if your looking for any certain locations.

Well, the closest BIG (ish) city to me is Pittsfield, that's prolly as far as I'd wanna drive really.

Personally if you live further west the Worcester, you're no longer in MA...

To far a drive to bother going out there haha...

darn you eastern mass-holes, taking all of our money for your big dig and downing 3 towns for your reservoir!

anyway, pitsfield is a whole other part of western mass, you might want to look for stuff in NY state or CT to be honest; VT ain't got nothing until White River Junction.

other than that, the 1 hour drive east to the Pioneer Valley/Hampden county may be your only choices.

the worst thing about western mass too is no one really puts any fights on out there, they are all around the Boston area. Brockton, Mansfield, Wilmington, Plymouth, Braintree.

Alright, so who wants to move out here and start a MMA gym with me? YOu'll need to bring the experience but i can finance it with my student loans lol :confused05:

There were some fights in chicopee a couple weeks ago at maxcap and i have to say, they were nothing to be proud of, even people who don't train could tell few of the fighters had experience in more than one aspect of training, you could tell alot of them were fighting because they wanted to be called fighters not becuase they love the sport.

Yea, and even THAT town is an hour and a half away from me. looks like ill needa go rambo and train out in the woods with a log tied to my back...
