you get as many tries as you want, as long as the "tries" are contiguous. Let me give you the real timeline:
1) weighed in with clothes. Didn't make weight.
2) took off clothes. Didn't make weight
3) took off ring. didn't make weight
4) spent a little time cutting. made weight.
So in other words, the first three were one right after the other with clothes/accessories removed, which is not at all uncommon.
