How do I train between martial arts classes?

So I'm enrolled in a martial arts class at my college. It's a 90 minute class, twice a week. The class went by quickly, but looks like 45 minutes stretch/warm up exercises then 45 minutes stance and footwork. So it's not too complicated, except that I'm not sure what to do during the week. The instructor said to practice, but what's a good amount of time to practice? A little bit each day several times throughout the day? Or once a day for 30 minutes? Or every other day? Any advice, thanks. Just hitting the late 30's and I feel it now....plus I'm off balance. So any tips, thanks. :thumb02:

Hey Franco my advice would be go out running like 3 days a week for 30mins in order to develop some cardio > this way when u join the class u can train harder technique without tiring urself out
good luck

You might have to run/walk intervals, but that would be an excellent way of building up your cardio. I don't know where you see the class going in terms of how demanding it may become.

Jump rope is also great cardio.
