UFC Interim Championship title question?

Did a UFC representative go to Brock Lesnar after Dana White and his officials declared that it would be too long to wait for Lesnar to be healthy, and take Brock's belt from him for Shane Carwin and Frank Mir to fight for in their Interim Championship fight?

No, it's a completely different belt.

The UFC uses a different belt for every title defense.

Congratulations you won!

The interim champion is just the #1 contender. (The champion until the actual champion returns)

I think that Jimmy is right as well. I am pretty sure that anyone who has become a champion keeps that specific belt even when they lose. It looks good in the trophy case.
