I need your advice.
I'm a 21 years old guy and my martial arts experience is the following: From age 5-10 I did judo. I have a green belt in judo. Won several competitions at that time. Then I did no martial arts until 2 months ago when I started American style Kickboxing (no knees, no elbows, no low kicks).
I did all kinds of sports from age 10-20. Soccer, skateboarding, tennis, bodybuilding ( last 3 years ).
I wanted to do muay thai but we don't have that near where I live. I live in a small city in Hungary.
A few days ago a friend of mine told me that there is an MMA gym in the neighbour city ( 10 minutes by car) and it is a great place. Tomorrow I will go and watch the trainng.
My goal with martial arts is to become more of a man, more confident and to be able to defend myself and my loved ones if I have to and maybe compete later in a ring or a cage
It would be cool.
So my question is the following: Should I switch to MMA from my kickboxing class? I ask this because I am not sure if MMA suits beginners like me. Yep, I've been doing kickboxing for 2 months but I am just getting the hang of the basics and I am still not that flexible (can do roundhouse kick max. chest level).
I would like to switch to MMA because I like that sport better.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance
