Im a college freshman and i have the opportunity to take mma classes at my school. The problem is 2 things, one: I recently started to put on weight jumping from 135 lbs to 155lbs and then back down to 140lbs cause of winter vacation (I did not run or do cardio at all because when i do it prevents me from gaining weight) and two: i smoke cigarettes and i know mma demands good cardio.
Basically how can I keep gaining weight while doing MMA? I'm not looking to look like a body builder either!
I am about 140lbs and about 5'9 or 5'10 with a decent build but more lanky.
