I wonder why Overeem waited untill this point in the game to finally try roids??? Look at him, it obvious he don't need them because he is huge and ripped but he must have just started since he just tested hot.

The old saying, you can fool the fans but you cant fool the players says a lot.

Anyway my personal unverified, unproven, pure speculation thoughts on the issue is that more than 50% of ALL fighters use PED'S and probably 70% have used them at one point.

Yes, I have used them myself, I am in my early 40's and I had a experince with roids in my mid 20's , on and off 2-3 years. Its been a while but Im still around people who use them on and off, like I said before, you can fool the fans but not the players..

Guys like to throw around big numbers, but then you ask them who in their camp uses and they say 'Well no one here does, but in the other camps everyone does!'.

I wouldn't be surprised if guys use them to recover from injuries faster or to help prep for a camp, but I don't think regular use is rampant, especially to get bigger. I think the Overeem cases of using them to get bigger are far and few because height dictates a lot in MMA. If you get bigger than your height than you end up like Sherk with T-rex arms compared to everyone in your division.

if you could "source" who's doing PEDS then they'd probably already be busted. I've seen dealers come in & out of MMA gyms and talk about what big name gyms they are headed to next, but that's whatever. It's a lot of hearsay as well, but I would go with the 60-70% are or have used PEDS at some point, but not so much for fight night advantages, I think that number is pretty low, but for recovery advantages during camp or just in general. Anavar is a popular one in MMA circles.
