Sad thing is, Condit is Great fighter who normally brings it... He pulled some crap Greg Jackson gameplan, that looked like figure skating to get the win.

Now that Gudia has just done the same thing (and lost), maybe it will stop...

I didn't see the whole fight so I can't know for sure if the author of the video is using selective editing. Giving it the benefit of the doubt, damn, Condit seems a bit disingenuous here. There's nothing about those kicks that are fight ending or even bruising. It's a pretty shifty way to win a fight.

That being said, I'm a little disappointed in Nick, knowing after awhile that condit would be throwing a ton of kicks, he could have had it in his mind to catch one and put Condit on his back. Working from that position, Nick has the advantage, depite Condit's good bottom game.

Instead of bitching about a dubious strategy, figure out the best way to counter it

So please, enlighten me.
Nope, don't care to. You'll be bitching and moaning no matter what I do.

Clearly you counted no hard leg kicks from Condit, otherwise you would have posted when he landed them to support your argument.

Another blind Diaz hater.

And no, I'm not a Condit hater. In fact, a big fan of Carlos Condit and followed his run throughout the WEC.

Greg Jackson on the other hand...

How about instead of getting Greg Jackson out of MMA you do your research. Jackson's MMA won more Of The Night awards than any other camp last year.

Jon Jones, Donald Cerrone, Leonard Garcia, Diego Sanchez, John Dodson, Diego Brandao, Travis Browne, Brian Stann, and Cub Swanson you know that guy that won KO of the Night on that very same card Guida ran on all train down there and are all exciting fighters.

Now if you wanna slate Condit whose finished everyone he's beat outside of Diaz and Ellenberger for doing everything possible to keep his back away from the cage, more power to you but Carlos' real fans and the people who have supported and stuck with Carlos for years know he's one of the most ruthless guys in the game.

Reality is this about Greg Jackson, he's been getting flack for YEARS because of Rashad and GSP and Jackson had absolutely nothing to do with either guy changing their styles, getting knocked out and losing their titles changed their styles not Jackson.

You butthurt Diaz fanboys need to get over it, Condit won Rounds 1, 3 and 4 and the stats prove it. Stop bitching because the leg kicks "didn't hurt" they still found a home and Condit won and now Condit's gonna get that million dollar payday.

The proof is that Diaz was trodding slowly and limping in rd 4 and 5. And he desperately shot a TD in rd 5. And his face was busted up.

The Diaz hype is disgusting. Maybe that ***** should have fought in the center.

Cherry picked and biased video showing many of the same leg kicks multiple times.

It always cracks me up when I hear the Diaz cry babies complain about Condit implementing a better game plan. Like Diaz would have even had a chance in hell against a guy like GSP who is known for his game plans. 4 months old and still crying.

Do you hear that? It's the worlds smallest violin

Thanks for the video! Have never seen it before.

It may seem a little whiny and sour grapes...but it exposes the facts to people who seem to not be able to recall what actually happened.

Condit cut Diaz a little (who doesn't) with glancing blows...but he only landed a few hard shots. Most of the time he threw those "point" kicks and retreat.

Agree, it is obvious to anyone that he was trying to score points with touching Nick with his foot. They earned him points and the win.

Yep, it was a good strategy, and as others have mentioned, really not that different than what Diaz does to his opponents by peppering with light punches. Clearly multiple strikes of either kind accumulate and eventually take their toll, which is why we saw Diaz limping.

Just not sure why Condit and Jackson are claiming the kicks had "bad intentions" and were "power shots". Nothing wrong with saying "we used kicks to effectively neutralize Diaz' game plan".

When did we gain so many members on this forum that are butthurt 98% of the time, complain about each and every aspect of MMA and have nothing positive to add to the MMA community? This fight is so old now and these threads keep on coming up over and over again.

I get it, you like Diaz, you hate Greg Jackson.

Yes, the gameplans are painful to watch at times, I get that too.

Complaining on a daily/weekly/monthly basis isn't going to change anything.

We need more appreciation threads, more positive stuff because this negative rant BS has worn thin at least with me.

/end rant
