I'd take my chances against like... an atomweight woman.... But that's about it, anyone who can become a professional fighter has pretty much proven they are tough as hell.

D. Cerrone | R. Souza | F. Werdum | R. MacDonald | M. McDonald | D. Maia | J. Mein | C. Condit
M. Coenen | S. Kaufman | A. Davis

And bringing the argument of the difference between a streetfight and sanctioned MMA match makes only sense if you compare an MMA fighter and someone who is trained in some other fighting art. But your untrained average Joe is exactly that: UNTRAINED in fighting. He doesn't know how to properly strike, nor is he used to getting punched and even less is he used to submission grappling. So why should he have an advantage in fighting skill over someone who is actually trained in some form of fighting, even if that is not 100% suited for streetfightingż Of course, any average guy can deliver a lucky punch, but on average the average guy definitely loses.
That was my line of thought as well, street fight or not, if you don't know how to throw or take a punch, you're in trouble against an elite level fighter trained in any art, but especially MMA.

It would really be bad to get armbarred in a street fight.

I was looking for the thread from before but I couldn't find it. I thought it was specific to Rousey but I'm not sure.

I don't see what a "street fight" has anything to do with it? Do they have knives? Guns?

I mean if a guy gets hip tossed and into an armbar, where Ronda then breaks your arm....what else are you going to do because it is a "street fight"? Pinch her thigh?

"street fight"? Either way it was 2 professionals not 1 professional and an average joe

Bendo | Aldo | Cerrone | Vitor | Fedor | Cormier
