Forrest griffin?

What's up with Forrest griffin these days I never hear much from him. He was definitely the most mediocre champion the lhw div has ever seen, just no real strong aspects of the game for him. I didn't expect him to get the decision n the rampage fight but when I wen back and watched it it really could have gone either way

While Forest recently has been pretty terrible, I hate to call him a mediocre champion. He earned that belt. He fought a vicious fighter in the prime of his career, the same guy who dethroned the longtime LHW king. Forest outworked and out fought Rampage and earned that belt.

Attero Dominatus.

I'd call Tito the most "mediocre" I mean who did he beat really...Wandy and Vitor. He couldn't get past Frank, Randy was the HW champion, most of the Pride guys would have killed him, and he ducked Chuck for half of his reign. Forrest was I believe an underdog in most of his UFC fights and he won the title. Forrest was the legitimate undisputed light heavyweight champion, Tito wasn't.

Now where the guy is, he's recovering from a major injury(MCL) and they will likely match him up with Wanderlei or Chael.

Forrest should honestly just retire.

It's sad to say because I used to love the guy, but lately I've just been annoyed with him. He obviously doesn't care about MMA anymore and it's very clear he's just doing it for the paycheck. He could have been good but never really used his skillset properly. The fact that he's weak between the ears doesn't help either.

Hopefully he's enjoying time with his new wife and kid, and then moves on to do other stuff with the UFC. Dana has said he has a job waiting for him.

Tito was a dominant champ in his time. I completely disagree with you. Sure he's annoying an went WAY downhill after his reign, but he was legitimately the best guy at the time. You can't blame him for who was r was not in UFC at he time.

Well you can because he wasn't the best 205 guy in the company at the time.
We have the historical perspective it was
1. Chuck (4-1)
2. Randy (2-2)
3. Tito (0-3)

And then you had Henderson, Shogun, Wanderlei, and Jackson in Pride so Tito could have been the 7th best LHW in the world during his run. Of all of Tito's contemporaries, he was the most protected and his run was the most questionable. I feel like it was politics and money and once Tito started screwing with the money and UFC exposed him for what he was.

Three guys fought in the same company six times, one won 80% of the fights, one won half and one couldn't win a fight. These were the true contemporaries of Tito Ortiz a guy that competed in the same weight class with same company at the same time.

If you were to rank LHW champions all time, I don't see how you can rank Tito ahead of Chuck and Randy. Then you have to work in the impressive and evenly ranked Pride guys and the the post-Pride generation.

In five years, I don't think you could even claim Tito is a top ten LHW.

Randy was at hw at the time if I'm not mistaken and chuck was titos successor. That is my logic.

I'm not taking his entire career not consideration just the championship reign
