You couldnt be more wrong and ignorant on what you stated here, and judging by your name I can see why. First if your definition of brutal is alot of blood, you are still wrong. There is just as much blood in boxing as well as MMA. The purpose of MMA is not to knock our your opponent, or break a bone. It is more like threatening to break or choke an opponent to tap out so you will not break an arm or leg or choke them out to the point where they pass out. Although that has happened before, but not very often. Second the purpose of boxing is to punch the other person harder and faster than he hits you and get out of the way of his punches if possible, hence the word "boxing" If there are related deaths and serious long term injuries involved with a sport then that would be classified as a brutal sport by anyone with some common sense. People just relate to ufc as a brutal sport because of the short term injuries some fighters may sustain and some bloody fights. When in reality, boxing has an equal amount of blood involved and injuries are greater and occur more frequently. I can easly say Football is more brutal than MMA because of the long term injuries players sustain. Your statements prove that you are very uneducated not only in mma but in boxing as well.

Well said. We've already reached the point where there are 40+ guys who fought in MMA for years, and I have yet to see one who is a drooling moron or paralyzed because of it. How many boxers and football players are totally unable to enjoy all the money they've made because of the way their bodies and brains have been abused? And how many MMA fighters in their 40s are still able to compete, and in the case of some, compete at an elite level? Cuts heal pretty well. Spinal injuries and brain damage, not so good.
