It would make him a Wing Chun master and a MMA Fighter.

I am a Judoka and a Boxer but if i fought in MMA i would still be a Judoka and Boxer but also a MMA fighter.

Not really, i don't see how if he learns some grappling he won't be a Wing Chun master anymore.

I didnt imply that he would no longer be a master at his discipline. Just that he would have to add skills to the set he already has in order to be competitive in mma.

I understand what you mean. You're saying if he were to train in other arts, he wouldn't be using his Wing Chun - As the topic is asking how a Wing Chun master would do against fighters in the UFC. Makes perfect sense.

Yes, you can't hold it against anyone if they don't train more then one skill set though because as you would know it is hard to be successful when you are one dimensional.
