Can a wing chun master take anyone in the ufc?
I was watchin this video of a kickboxer fighting a wing chun man and the wing chun man won...he also won against a grappler being able to stop his takedowns...
Would one be able to beat people in the ufc?

It depends on the individual more then the style. Wing Chun is not bad anyway.
He would have to compete in the UFC to find out meaning i have no answer.

Depends on how much strength and KO power the master has... A Ninjutsu guy won UFC 3 I think.
So as long as this sport isn't some phoney art a good practitioner COULD certainly win. If he worked some bag.

the inherent problem with one style is the advantage other styles have against it i mean sure a wing chun master could win a few fights in the ufc but wtf is he going to do against a bjj black belt who takes him to the ground and snaps a kimura on him? tap

They may do well against somebody who just uses kickboxing or somebody that can just grapple but once they face somebody who trains in more than one art, like the fighters in the UFC.. They won't do as well. Look at say Gary Goodridge. Good boxer, good kickboxer, good grappler. But when he faces somebody has the skills he has but is better in one area, they beat him.

I am sure the Wing Chun master would train some grappling and ground fighting before going into MMA. |
