Kongo vs Arlovski

I was just thinking of a suitable opponent and Arlovski came to mind...

He won his last fight too, and WOW what a shot that was

I think Andre would KO Kongo 1st round

COME ON UFC MAKE IT HAPPEN
Whatcha think?

i think given AA

past few performances.....i wouldnt be putting money on him ko'ing anyone

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

Even after the upset of Cro-cop, I don't put too much faith in Kongo. He is a nice striker but his ground game hasn't been tested against elite BJJ. AA isn't the guy to test him but I do see AA winning by KO. His striking from different angles will take Kongo's set out of his crisp movements and open him up to expose his chin.

Kongo does not want to fight GG, Big Nog, Vera, or Sylvia. If he wins his next fight, you have to think he will be matched against this level of fighters. GG upset Cro-cop and he got Randy. kongo will probably get one of his limbs broke in his next fight.

also i can't see arlovski backing up away from kongo I think he'd maintain the pressure, and possibly not allow himself to get clinched up against the cage

This would be a great fight, especially for the Arlovski fans. His skills compare and surpass Kongos in may ways. Striking included which is Kongos cup of tee. Cro Cop hasn't been the same in the UFC as he was in pride. A.A is a former champion. If he puts on an interesting fight against Kongo or is next opponent whom ever that maybe, I believe he would deserve a title shot against Couture/

Andre REALLY wants a shot at his title back...

YOu could see in his last fight he was MUCH MUCH more agreesive, and more like the guy who we learned to love in the first place!

NOW... if THAT Arlovski showed up, Kongo would be dead before he knew what happened... If not, I suppose Kongo might break one of Arlovskis Ribs and just try and eak out a decision

(DAMN I NEED THE REAL VITOR BELFORT IN THE UFC)

I'd bet my money on Arlovski. IMO Kongo would match up poorly with Arlovski. Kongo has a giant hole in his fighting style (ground game) and Arlovski is extremely extremely underrated on the ground. Kongo really showed against Cro Cop that he liked the clinch, but if he tried to do that to Arlovski he'd get KO'd.
