Sick to death of the PRIDE FC vs UFC war (UFC 79 related)

First and foremost I am a massive massive PRIDE FC fan moreso then the UFC. I own every Pride event on sale, have been watching it for many many years so I consider myself a big fan

ok I don't normally go on long rants like this but I have to get a few things of my chest, I am still a little tipsy so I hope you get the underlying themes of the topic and not judge me on structure and grammar

To elaborate a bit, UFC 79, Silva vs Chuck, an epic fight is the view expressed by many including myself. As a massive wandy fan, yes I was a little disappointed with his performance. He looked a little tentative at points and was trying to follow some sort of a counter type game plan. It's fine that silva tried it for 2 rounds but in the final he should have taken the risk and gone all out assault on Chuck. He didn't utilise the clinch and his knees, and he made some silly mistakes like not pouncing on chuck maybe ending the fight when he had the chance. But this is another topic to discuss, I am just expressing some views on the fight.

Now, a lot of people said this fight would quietly end the war between Pride FC vs UFC, and which is overall the better organisation. Other pride fighters such as cro cop and shogun have lost, and to many W.silva losing was the final nail in the coffin proving the UFC is overall the better ORG (complete nonsense)

So as expected Pride FC haters have gone rampant having the time of their life making us pride fans look silly, but to some extent I don't blame them. In the past UFC fighters have gone over to pride and some have been dominated, some to the extent of exactly what is going on now with Pride fighters going to the home of the UFC, and what did many silly pride fans do? Exactly what UFC fans (not all but a lot) are saying about Pride right now.

What irritates me the most are two topics of debate.

1.) The whole ORG>ORG, argument is the stupidest thing to ever occur, and whoever started it is a horrible horrible person . It's all about the fighters and the individuals. Some Pride fighters such as Rampage and A.silva (if you consider him a pride fighter) have become very successful to the point where they are champions. If everyone would just shut up and judge the fighters instead of these petty organisation wars. It's all about each individual fighter. Please, I don’t want to see anymore people making terribly babyish pride statements that we can never prove nor find out about.

2.) PRIDE fans saying stupid BS such as "if it was pride ring silva would have dominated him for sure!" OK this may be the case, but there is no way of proving it whatsoever so what’s the point of even saying it? There is no substantial weight behind the argument whatsoever! These petty excuses labels all us pride fans, as sulking losers who suck our thumbs and make excuses when our fighters lose!

So I plead with anyone who reads this to change your outlook on this whole ORG>ORG debate, and instead appreciate each fighter as an individual, and base your arguments on the individual fighter rather then him representing the whole org.

I just wanted to get this of my chest, thanks if you read it the whole way through

ps. I can see the irony in my sig but don't blame bellr77, im sure he is joking :/

I have to agree, its all about the individual fighter. The fighter should be ready for everything, especially the cage. They have a few months to prepare, thats more than enough time to figure out their own gameplan, and how they want to fight. It has nothing to do with the promotions, at most, its the teams they train with.

The weak minded need a place to belong, and they need that place to be #1 in their eyes, and they will fight tooth and nail for it.

Hence, MMA Radicalism, its stupid, only those who are completely influenced by media and marketing do it, so dont pay attention to them.
