look fact is this guy is HUGE

and i mean HUGE

good kickboxer....and like you said if he learned some ground game and how to defend sumbission.....he would become really dangerous to any opponent

lets also not foget this kid is only like 25

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

This will probably get me flamed but I think the Fedor and Choi fight was simply an exercise in improving the marketability of Fedor. Choi hadn't proven himself to be eligible for that fight, in my opinion. His K-1 events denote him as a very poor striker despite his successful record. The only real chance he had against Fedor was knee strikes and knees were considered illegal. His striking speed is so slow that Fedor need not counter-strike, but had time to follow a punch or kick back in at a leisurely pace and clinch. That gives a poor kickboxer and inexperienced MMA fighter basically one punch or one kick to knock out the #1 Fighter in the world before getting tied up. So many better opponents for Fedor than Choi right now... I really want to see Choi develop into a fighter and have promoters create a monster MMA star and not a circus freak. Given how infrequently Fedor fights... it just seemed wasteful.

It's also because "Hong Man Choi" is fun to say.

The same fighter, the same size named John Smith wouldn't be nearly as trendy.

HW: Brock Lesnar
LHW: Ryan Bader
MW: Wanderlei Silva*
LW: Clay Guida
FW: Josh Grispi
BW: Brian Bowles

"Let's beat our chests and celebrate with much joy, because this victory is ours!"
