2 vs 2
Imagine what it would be like to have a royal rumble like event in UFC?
Haha, ok maybe not Royal Rumble rules, but a Tornado match.
2 vs 2 at the same time IN the cage.
Open weight category.
It's a goofy topic I know, but that is the point.
Let's admit it, UFC emulates real world fighting...or it used to.
Now there are so many rules.
In real world, people have brawls....group fights. Obviously there would never be such a sport, but wouldn't that be insane to watch!!?
The gameplans would be incredible.
I think two strikers like Anderson Silva and Chuck Liddell fighting others would be so awesome.

Then they can bring out Dusty Rhodes, the Midnight Express and the Road Warriors for a War Games match.

this will never happen, if one guy gets knocked out early then his partner will be in a handicap match.
i think a better idea would be if you have a team of 3-5 fighters, each fighter fights 1 round against a random member of the opposing team. if one fighter gets ko'ed/submitted then one of his partners replaces him. to win your team has to eliminate more opponents than the other team. if its even at the end then it'll go to the judges for decision.
this could be done for some kind international mma championship.

I have honestly wondered what a tag match would be like in MMA but it would just be too unbalanced and a big mess. Fighting should be one on one to determine who the better fighter is.
Save the tag matches and battle royals for WWF. I don't think it will ever happen in MMA feds.

You mean a Guantlet match? Yeah that would be fun but it would still be unfair because if one fighter is worn out and tired from the previous fight his next opponent would have an unfair advantage and it could lead to a serious injury or something since one person would be winded and one person would be fresh.
But it sounds like a cool idea. I just don't think MMA feds would ever stand for it.
