bob sapp, he's done a few matches in japan, he aint much of a wrestler but it was great seeing a 340 pound behemoth doing a diving headbutt.

rich franklin, he could make a great face, and it would be hard for him to gain the muscle needed either.

Why? It's in smacktalk so it obviously not serious, and no-one is forcing you to open the thread and read it. There are threads about Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee fighting in the UFC, but no-one cares about that. Its "Smacktalk", its what this area of the forum is intended for. If you don't like people talking about the WWE then leave, no big loss.

I'll probably get slated for this but I firmly believe WWE is a tougher organistion to get into than UFC. It's easy to adopt fighting skills, ok you may not be anygood at it but to learn how to do pro wrestling moves WITHOUT hurting someone is much harder in my eyes. I could easily smack someone in the mouth, but could I smack someone in the mouth without hurting them and make it look as real as possible to 10million people watching on TV?

You also need to market yourself. You could be the best fighter in the world but with no personality...that wouldn't make you Champ in WWE. You need the whole package, mic skills, personality, ability to play to the crowd. Apples and Oranges though.

Anyway to answer your question - Tito Ortiz would be ideal.

You make a valid point, but as far as being harder to enter, i think they are fairly on same level of hardness but each on a different category, you need a complete package to be an elite WWE superstar, but if you compare with UFC's top dogs, you not only need to smack someone into knockout, you need to know, Subs, Subdef, TDD, Striking and all the MMA game.

MMA is just as multidimensional than Pro Wrestling.

I agree, as far as the fighting goes, you need more in your reportoir in MMA, it is real after all. But like you say, but only to be a top dog. And no, I'm not saying a mid carder like Fit Finlay could beat Keith Jardine lol.

They really cant be compared though, I know I did...but on the grand scale to be a success, think you need a little bit more in terms of package to succeed in WWE.

I love both sports/entertainment. MMA for the competetion and realism, WWE for the entertainment and unrealism. Hope they both around for a long time.

Rampage would definatly be the best as with the howling and the chain he already has a persona and he is also a funny charasmatic guy.

Kongo is a big strong guy who being a frenchman would get instant heat as a heel.

Heath Herring is also a bit of a character with the coloured hair, trenchcoat and cowboy hat.

The major diffrance between pro wrestling and MMA is that Pro Wrestling is predertermined, jut about any MMA fighter could learn pro wrestling and transition over well but the hard part is connecting with the fans which is harder, being a bit of a character in real life would help them exagerate there excentricities.
