UFC 81 was a WWE PPV

One man's Opinion.

The UFC worked with the WWE for UFC 81, It was very evident from the clips they showed of Brock Lesnar showing us how awesome he is doing fake power bombs and back breakers. What the hell is that all about? The marketing and hype behind him was not a MMA fans dream fight, it was a ploy to draw in lots of people, call it entertainment if you will. Aren't we paying to see real fights? Not a phony wrestler bring in retarded WWE Fans?

Now you might say, oh brock lesnar is a force! hes amazing, give him some time to learn the submission game.

Listen, hes in it for the payday, and the UFC is doing it to sell tickets and bring WWE fans in (why would we want them anyway).

Why I think he isn't taking it seriously?

In the interviews, He was calling him Frank Mur. Now you might think that could be a common mistake. It isn't, because he should of been watching footage of mir, to know what to expect. Footage of Mir ISNT hard to get, at all. And if you watched one of his fights, goldie and rogan call his name out about 50 times in each of their fights. That tells me, he hasn't watched anything on mir at all. How can I watch a Jap MMA fighter in Pride compete, and know how to pronounce him name if talk of that fighter ever came up? And thats just a random. He should be living and BREATHING Frank Mir.

Even that leg lock wasn't very tight. And He has no idea how to defend that.

There will be more WWE "superstars" coming into the UFC. Everyone's joking about the Undertaker coming in, that may not be so far from the truth. As much as I respect dana for putting on great MMA fights (For a good price), this is total bullshit bringing in lesnar like that. He is a payday for Dana, and he exploited all of you to get it by marketing this as a real fight.

dude, for starters the bombs he was dropping on Mir's face were not fake so hes not in this for a 'payday'. the knee bar he was put into must of being tight if he tapped out because of it..

also..

so what if they footage from hes WWE days? thats the only footage they had and it is were he has come from.. how else are they gonna promote the fight? show footage of him training?

he was known for being the wwe champion and the wwe is huge across the world. people will associate with him through that. therefore, people would watch the fight because of it

Heres my points.

1. Lesnar didn't take it seriously, at all. Did it only for the money.
2. You see any other 1 - 0 MMA fighters being marketed like that?

Yes... Lesnar was only there for a Payday, on both sides. Mutual Growth.

Can he throw bombs? Yes, totally. I thought he was going to stop Mir, to be honest, and probably would of if that BS call wasn't made. But He still didn't take it seriously, he faught as if anyone would of faught if they had to.

ok, so you know this due to talking to him on a regular basis?

did u not watch the trainings he was going through and the comments made my individuals about hes training?

he was marketed like that because of hes size, power and speed. did you not realise that he nearly BEAT a former HW CHAMPION.

enough said.
