at the end of the day this is not about ufc vs pride, its about rogans comments!!!!! and yes i still say it makes u a better fighter if u fight heavyweights ( especially if u can knock them out) nobody will ever do what wand did 4 205rs period!) even if chuck beat him! pride fighters will come to rule the ufc, and not because they are from pride but because they were used to a higher calibre ( especially heavyweights)

If a guy like Chuck had demolished his division then decided to step up a weight, I think that would be cool. But it got kind of old in Pride when fighters would take non title fights against dudes in other weight classes when their were contenders who at earned shots.

I'm not in the arguement about PRIDE V UFC. I dont really care about it. IMO its about fighters vs fighters and thats it. PRIDE had some fighers that were/are crap and so does the UFC. It doesnt matter at all to me what banner a fighter fights under, it matters if they can fight and win.

Thank you, someone had to say it. I mean seriously its what the sport is about and its why a lot of people do it. Because its not some team sport where youw ork together to overcome stuff. Its about the individual and weither or not you have the mentality to overcome yourself. If you win, you feel amazing about yourself, like you're at the top of the world. And if you lose, there's no one to blame but yourself.

I wonder how many people on this forum actually fight MMA? I do and I think thats why I feel the way I do about it

You are making it about UFC vs Pride. You're getting close to trolling buddy. How were they used to a higher calibre? Just because someone is 20lbs bigger doesn't mean they're a higher calibre

Also Id like to point out you said new caliber of FIGHTER... like I said before it doesnt matter if they wave a PRIDE flag or a UFC flag or ffs a WEC or IFL flag, it comes down to how talented they are as a fighter.
