Why do people think he's so good? I mean honestly the man is extremely one dimensional. He's a flat out boxer, he almost never throws kicks and he has no jitz (one win by submission and it was RNC and one of his first few fights). I know he's entertaining to watch because he delivers a knock out quite a lot, but does anyone else think the same things about him as me? I just see a lot of people on here who are die hard fans and think he can take almost anyone but I just don't see why. I'm not trying to troll or offend anyone, it's an honest question.

Well he is a champion kickboxer and a wrestler, but pefers to strike. And lately he hasn't used kicks but he used to. I don't think he is one dimensional, he just likes to strike and KO people. He is a good counter puncher and plays to his strength.

Well, he is pretty good. True his ground game is weak, but he really relies on his takedown defense to make up for it. He has one of the best takedown defenses in MMA. Honestly, how many fights have you seen Chuck get taken down? Not that many. He was actually a wrestler in high school if I'm not mistaken.

Also, since he's a counter puncher, its harder to get takedowns already, since he'll be so far back and he doesnt push the action. He's not the well rounded fighter like GSP or Silva, but he has a few skills that mesh together VERY well.

Now...I honestly hate the guy. Not a fan at all, but I still recognize a good fighter when I see it.

I know he's a great counter puncher and has loads of power, but if that facet of his game is off he really doesnt have much aside from TDD. I just think that MMA has moved past the point of just being a boxer and throwing a few leg kicks. There are much more well rounded guys in the game now and I think Chuck just gets over hyped way too much.

How do you know Chuck's ground game is weak? He trains BJJ and is very, very hard to keep down. Just because he prefers to strike doesn't mean that he sucks on the ground.

idk maybe the fact that I've never ever seen him even attempt a submission or to wrestle? I mean there's the fights with Randy but Randy won the fight when he fought his fight, chuck won it standing.

The first fight with Randy Chuck had a torn MCL. I suggest you check out his fight with Overeem or read Chuck's book.

and all this time I though chuck knocked out babalu with a kick, take it you havent seen 1/4 of his fights, hes hard to take down, when he does get took down he right up again,
