Cung Le has an extensive background in San Shou. It's a style of kickboxing, in which, takedowns are legal and give you points. They do tons of kick-catching. He's probably used to people trying to catch his legs. Considering that he continues to utilize such kicks even after all of this time suggests that it's not so easy to trap his leg after all.

As for keeping his hands low, so does Anderson Silva. You may notice that whenever he throws a straight punch, his alternate hand goes to his chest. But, as has been made evident by a lot of fighters who do that, good footwork can make up for it.

But yeah, I too would put all of my money on Anderson Silva. I've made riskier bets on him (Silva vs Hendo).

Highly opinionated but out of touch with the current MMA scene.

I'm a huge cung le fan but i don't want to see this fight happen, AS would hurt cung very bad. Cung striking is decent but no where even close to what anderson's is, yea Cung has sorta finished his fights (i don't really count a cut as one) but put the same guys against Anderson and they'd be lucky to survive 30seconds. His ONLY chance is to wrestle with Anderson, and even though Cung le as great and underrated wrestling he's no Dan Henderson and Dan got beat bad.

I think he would lose, but i think you would be very surprised on how long he would last. He would definitely not get knocked out quickly.

No, he'd get taken down and subbed quickly.

Sorry to bring this up again, but after beating Shamrock you gotta give Cung some respect.

Cung has good wrestling man I dont know his stand up is superb Anderson is long but I dont think Cung is a complete fighter yet in a few years after a little more rounding out his rough edges (And learning to keep his hands above his chest) i can definitly see him givign Anderson problems.
