If anything, this fight has shown us that Frank's theory is correct -- Cung Le can be KOd. It also showed us that Cung is occassionally open for a knee to the head.
Now, I'm not saying that Le's chin is bad by any means. But clearly, it's not made out of granite. Now I'm sure that we can all agree that Anderson Silva's punches and knees > Frank Shamrock's. If it had been Silva throwing those knees, it would have been a wrap.
Silva is also better at mixing up levels between his strikes. His kicks, though a bit less flashy than Cungs, are more varied. His roundhouse can go low or it can go high. Cung, on the other hand, seems to have a different kick for each height. His round kicks go for the head, his sidekicks go for the body. Against somebody like Anderson, that type of predictability could be dangerous.
Plus, I believe that Silva's footwork would allow him to navigate around Le's sidekick. But damn, that sidekick sure is sweet.
