Hughes isnt "done for". There are a lot more guys who can beat/compete with him now but he will still be a tough fight for everyone and is top 5 at WW. he probably wont ever get the title back but he will still be relevant for years if he wants to be.

I just dont see why Hughes would want to keep fighting; aside from fighting Serra of course. He has nothing left to prove and he knows he wont be champion again so why continue to fight? So what if he beats Koscheck and Parisyan...then what does he do?

I think he should beat Serra and then retire as the greatest WW of all-time and focus on running his gym and training guys. Maybe he could take Couture's place and the third announcer.

Exactly. He's one-dimensional compared to the next gen.

Sure....But I disagree. I'd put Danny Abbadi over Chuck and Tito any day.

VoiceOfThunder Needs A Hug
He wants to be a priest and teaches people about religion like he did in TUF. I think he lost the will to fight.

what do you think?
oh SH*T here we go again with the LOOK HOW HE ACTED JUST BEFORE THE FIGHT YOU COULD SEE IT IN HIS EYES

(PUKE) I bought into the Rich Franklin hype just before he got tuned in the first time by Silva.

Irrelevant my friend. Matt Hughes earned my respect over a very long time cause I couldnt stand him. After so many dominant victories its hard not to call him one of the greats. Now whether his time is up or hes going to try and Randy Couture it, isnt my call to make.

WAR HUGHES

Yet another guy on the fEDOR Bandwagon...

If you wanna call someone the greatest EVER it sure as hell aint Fedor. PFFT gimme a break thats a little too easy an answer and personally I think more than half his opponents were walk thru's.

Anderson Silva? Have him fight GSP where they meet at any weight class and then maybe Ill agree with you for 07/08

how is is it irrelevant I am just saying he doesn't have the fire in his eye anymore and that can make all the difference.
