i honestly can't believe that noone has came in this thread stating silva as the clear winner which he definately is. there were alot of people admitting gsp would lose in the gsp/silva threads, and he's got a large tribe of people hanging off his balls.

anderson silvas standup is leaps and bounds better than bj's. bj has heavy hands and good timing, but thats about it. anderson would demolish bj in the standup, in fact im pretty sure he could tko penn with punches alone.

now i'll admit, bj's ju-jitsu is better than silvas, but silva is no slouch on the ground and i'd say the weight and strength advantage would nullify bj's technique advantage. i don't see bj taking silva down though, henderson struggled to take silva down and he's a big middleweight with world class wrestling. the only way i see this fight going to the ground is if bj gets rocked and silva jumps on to finish with a tko from strikes.

<--- the punch that started it all!

My current favirote fighters
Anderson Silva
Junior Dos Santos
Mauricio Rua
Alistair Overeem
Jon Jones

WAR dan hardy, paul daley, ross pearson and terry etim doing it for the britz!

This thread is hilarious.

I can't believe people think BJ stands a chance against Silva.......

well i hate bj, for many reasons... but what makes me bash him is the constant overhyping of his abilities he gets on forums...by people thinking he'll give anderson silva a competitive fight....its just ridiculous

so youve been in his camp, talked to him extensively, and looked at a week of his training? stop pulling it out of you know where, his cardio has always been weak and probably always will be.

Well for one he's a Sean Sherk fan...

Secondly. This thread belongs in smacktalk. Because BJ will probably never fight over the 170 limit again.

He's a natural 155 and thats where he should stay.

But for shits and giggle I'll analyze the fight.

Besides Striking which is in Silva's favor everything else is pretty much even.

I'd give a slight edge in BJJ to Penn.

The height and reach plays in Silva's favor heavily.'

BJ would not make it out of round 1

BJ's got a sixer. He must be doing something right. BJ is a natural competitor and if conditioning is something he needs, he's going to dedicate himself to that.

I can't say for sure if BJ is taking it seriously but from the looks of Countdown to UFC 80. I think he is.

Secondly when your overwhelmed with emotion you tend to be out of breath, hence the Joe Stevenson fight

i'm sure i don't need to point out that a sixpack means jack when it comes to cardio...any dummy who commits to an ab workout, decent diet and cardio for fat loss will get a six pack.....

hardly enough to even be considered even decent cardio at elite level mixed martial arts....

I never said it did. I was trying to imply that it's an indicator that he's taking it seriously.
