IMO hes not as good as people are hyping him up to be. He won tuf because many got injured and hasn't fought a big name yet and every ones claiming hes in line for a title shot. So I have compiled mrmyz's list of people who can kick nate diazs ass in the ufc.

sherk
kenflo
bj
danzig
tyson griffin
huerta
maybe din
franca
thiago thavares
clay guida
Marcus aureilio
joe daddy

The "second coming" of what, exactly?
The guy has skills, but isn't quite in the top 10 of the UFC's LW's right yet, so who is saying he should be up for a title shot now?

Extreme Bias For:
Heath Herring-Josh Barnett-Roxy Modafferi-Kazushi Sakurauba-Murrillo Bustamante-Tatsuya Kawajiri-Megumi Fujii-Dan Henderson-Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria-Kazuyuki Fujita-Hideki Kadowaki

Nate suffers from the same thing that his brother does in the fact that he leaves himself open way to much for punishment. Eventually hes gonna be facing guys whose gas tanks are made for 5 round fights, with great sub defense and theyll put the pressure on him and never let up.

Not saying I dont love to see the kid fight though. Its nice to have a Nick clone in the UFC while he gets his shit together.

Actually thought he was done when Kurt had his arms trapped in the crucifix wailing on his face.

I don't really see too much greatness in Nate.

Soon he's going to face someone who is going to get in his face and make him work.

I can see Tyson Griffin being his next challenger and beating him pretty easily.

I'm not sure about Nate's gas tank but him and his brother are tri-athletes so they gotta be in shape right?

Kurt Pelligrino isn't a big name? Look I agree wiht you that he is not the 2nd coming, though I don't know who has been saying that. I would love to see a match against any of the fighters you listed.

The athletic commission allows the corner people, not the UFC. If the UFC, had something to do with it we probably would not see guys like Diaz and Couture in corners.

Huerta or Guida would destroy Nate, it would be ugly. Nick is a skilled fighter, a "great" fighter wouldn't keep getting his ass busted for drug use when he's got professional fights on the schedule. Nate is skilled to, but he hasn't fought a top 25 fighter yet, whereas Huerta and Guida ARE top 10-15 fighters.

but he beat KURT!!! wtf man! Kurt has pretty phenomenal ground game! have you seen the video from the 2006 or 2007 ADCC? Kurt was tooling people! and to have nate diaz, a kid who clearly isn't as physically strong as kurt come in and beat him with a triangle of all things?!?

now, you also gotta give him some time to mature a bit. I say Pelligrino was his first big win and he needs more competition to keep his skill level on point. No, he wouldn't beat Penn and I think sherk would lay n pray him to death...but you gotta give the kid some credit man, he's pretty d*** good.

Evil will always triumph over good...

Because good is dumb.
